Charles Edward Sebag-Montefiore was born on 4 March 1884 in London. He married Muriel Alice Ruth de Pass, daughter of Charles de Pass and Mabel Kate Benjamin, on 30 April 1913 at Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue, Lauderdale Road, London, England. He died on 7 May 1960 at age 76. He was the son of Arthur Sebag-Montefiore and Harriette Beddington. He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England. He was a senior partner of Joseph Sebag & Company. He was member of the London Stock Exchange. He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1955.
