About Charles Hamilton Tarr
Charles H. Tarr, 74, died at 6:30 a.m. today (April 7, 1954) at his Gilpin Twp. home. He was born Aug. 30, 1879 in East Franklin Twp., a son of William and Jane (Zillefrow) Tarr. He is survived by his wife, Lula (McCollum) Tarr, and these children: Mrs. Lloyd Klingensmith and Mrs. George Schaeffer, both of Bethel Twp., Mrs. Harry Crawford and Mrs. Sarah Salkeld, both of Kittanning, Mrs. Harold King and William F. Tarr, both of Gilpin Twp. A brother, Edward of Tarrtown, and 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive. He was a member of Manorville Lodge 932, I.O.O.F. Friends will be received in Clawson funeral home, Leechburg, after 7 p.m. today and between the hours of 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Services will be held in the funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday in charge of Rev. Fred Steuber of Forest Hills. Burial will be made in Forks cemetery.
