Charles Lewis Yates

Are there two Charles Yates? Yes - one Charles Lewis Yates was cousin to Fielding Lewis. Both born apparently in same year.

Dear John, Thank you very much for your excellent information on Rev. Charles Lewis Yates. I am working on volume 4 of a 7-volume biographical survey of Virginia Baptist ministers, 1760-1790, and am trying to include Charles Yates in it. He seems to have been ordained by 1785 and to have served an honorable ministry, but there is virtually nothing on him in the files of the Virginia Baptist Historical Society. You have answered almost all of my questions about him. I now lack only the names of his parents and directions to the cemetery in which he is buried. It is exciting to learn that his father-in-law was Henry Goodloe, whom I covered in volume 3 of the survey.
