General Notes: Charlotte died whilst living in Queen Street, Hobart, of senile decay and cardiac syncope (sudden death by heart failure). She left an estate worth £671 to be divided amongst her four living daughters 'for their own sole and separate use, free from all marital control'. She was buried with her husband and these words were added to the headstone: also/Charlotte/wife of the above/died May 22nd 1898/Aged 82 years/ The days of thy mourning are ended. Is. LX 20. We have a copy of the Funeral Records of Alex Clark and Son. The entry for Charlotte reads: Sunday May 22nd 1898, Charlotte Large, Died Queen Street, East Sandy Bay. buried at Queenborough Cemetery on May 24th at 2:30. Reopen Private Grave Wesleyan, wife of the late Stephen Large. Born England, widow. 7 coaches, Rev Barber. Doctor Geo Gibson, 1. Senile decay, 2. Cardiac syncope.34
