The email below implies that two Brman Brothers married two Stark sisters:
Rivka Stark married Joseph Berman
Moshe Stark married Yetta Berman
Cha Sora Stark married Berel Barlin, and one other.
Dear Clive:
My cousin, Tom Gais, passed your message on to me. We
may well be related.
Here is what I have. A common relative, Noreen
Lewitton nee Barlin, reported that her maternal great
grandparents were Rivka Stark and Joseph Berman. Tom and I are descended from another sibling, Yetta Berman who married Moshe Stark. A third sibling was named Chaya Sora Berman whose second husband was Berel Barlin - based on your message you descend from them. These are also Noreen's paternal grandparents. There are Barlins in South Africa too.
From Joe Ligoff:
Chaya Sora Stark was my Bobba and lived with us in Bethlehem, when we moved to Johannesburg she lived in the original Witwatersrand Jewish Old Aged Home, situated in Louisa Street, Doornfontein, ( that was before the new facility was built in Sandringham).
I used to visit her at the home on the way home frm school, she was at my Barmitzvah,I used to speak to her in Yiddish as she knew very little English.
