Chloe Curtis was the daughter of Capt. Allin (also spelled Allen/Allyn) Curtis and Ruth Stiles (Torrington). Chloe was born in Woodbury, Litchfield County, Connecticut. When she was young, her parents moved to Alford, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts. There, she met and married Lt. John Adams (aka Dea. John Adams), son of Dr. John Adams Jr., and Mary Parke.


Chloe Adams was a charter member of the Bloomfield Congregational Church in 1796.
