Chloe Ann Gray

Her father's identity is uncertain. The listing of Alexander Calhoun Hamilton as Chloe's father is based on the mention of John W. Gray (Chloe's husband) in Alexander's estate documents. Alexander was a resident of Abbeville District, SC, and Chloe was born there. One of her obituaries lists her father as Major Andrew Hamilton. However, Major Andrew Hamilton was born ca. 1741 and thus was more likely Chloe's grandfather, since Chloe was born in 1813 (Andrew Gray was Alexander Calhoun Hamilton's father).

One of her obituaries lists her first name as "Elisabeth" but this seems to be an error.
