DNA

Ancestry DNA
A descendant of Paul's is a DNA match (5C1R) with me (PLW) and 5 of my siblings, with common ancestors Christian Leitner and Mara Eva Fehler. Further triangulation was made on Ancestry - possible because three of us have more than a 20cM match - and the results verify this line. Two other DNA-matched descendants of Paul's were a little misplaced because they skipped Christian JR and tied Paul directly to Christian and Eva. Other DNA matches are very misplaced by Ancestry's ThruLines - probably attesting to the difficulty many have had with sorting all the Christian Leitners within a couple early generations.
