BIOGRAPHY Christian Raben was the grandson of Emerentia Levetzow Raben. In 1725 she bought the Castle Aalholm and all its properties from the Danish King Frederik IV, and in 1734 she founded the estate Christiansholm for her grandson and he became Count at the young age of 9. He was well educated, and traveled extensively throughout Europe. But he died unmarried in 1750, and his younger brother Otto Ludwig became Count.[FN::FN]This information gathered from " Danish Nobility" in the Library of Copenhagen by Bernice Raedel in 1956.
