About Christian Warner, UEL

I am still trying to determine whether Nicholas Ecker first settled in Schoharie or Berne. I belive Peter lived in Berne. His son-in-law Christian Warner was a Tory (as we used to call the Loyalists). In 1777 he went to General Burgoyn's camp then at Still Water and volunteered his services. After the war he settled in Canada. Capt. Warner's parents were Michael Wanner and Elisabeth Folmar. My understanding is that Capt. Christian Warner changed the family name to Warner. His father Michael was s/o my 6th Great-grandparents Ludvig Wanner and Anna Barbara Beisels. Ludwig was b. ca. 1680 Sinsheim,Germany and he and Anna Barbara whom he md. in 1703, immigrated in 1710 along with more than 3000 other Palatine Germans. He was among the first settlers in Schoharie.
