"Mr Zook was fortunate in the selection of his wives for both were excellent women". (1843 history of Allensville) - Christian & Lydia lived on a 205-acre farm at the foot of Chestnut Mountain in Brown Twp, Mifflin Co, PA. The farm was purchased in 1841 for $10,250 from Christian's father, "Long Christ" Zug. The family and those of the seven children were Old Order Amish Mennonites.
