About Christina Schmidt
Daughter of Heinrich Brokofsky and Anna Marie Giedt married 1886, to Wilhelm Schmidt
Christina Schmidt, nee Brokofsky, was born August 15, 1865, in Neu Danzig, South Russia, and died after lenghty heart problems on May 09, 1927, at the age of 61 years, 8 months, and 24 days. In 1886, she married Wilhelm Schnidt. This blessed union brought forth nine children of which five preceded her. Sister Schmidt was converted in her 19th year of life and baptized by Reverend Johannes Pritzkau. The Schmidts came to Canada in 1913. Here in her church, Sister Schmidt was a loyal member and faithfully in her place whenever possible. The church will miss her very much, but our loss is her gain. In deep mourning are her husband, four sons, and many relatives and friends. The undersigned spoke words of comfort from Revelations 14:13 to a large gathering of mourners. May the Great Comforter comfort the mourning and inspire them to holier loving so that all might be reunited in Eternity. Burstall, Saskatchewan. John C. Schweitzer
