Christopher was born in Swords Ireland to his father's third wife Mary Ann Brady. When he was four years old he came with his parents and brother James on the "Racehorse" arriving in Fremantle on August 15 1865.
His father died when he was 7 years old and his mother remarried to Michael Redmond. He and his brother James went to live with their mother's relative Michael Brennan who taught them the printing business.
Christopher is known to have lived in many places in Western Australia including Geraldton, Dampier and Toodyay but always returning to Perth. He was a printer and ran a printing business in Perth with his brother James Bloomer and his half brother Thomas Henry Bloomer.
He was in love with Mary Jane Kellington (a granddaughter of Michael Brennan) when he was younger (about 19 years old) and they had an illegitimate child together in 1881 called Frederick Christopher who died as a baby.
Mary then married a much older ex-convict called Charles Potter and after Charles' death Mary and Christopher finally married in 1888 and had a family together. He died in 1939.
