Christopher Clement Coleman, Jr.

hristopher C. Coleman, Jr., 86, of Rushville, passed away, Wednesday, October 10, 2012 surrounded by his loving family.

Born May 25, 1926 in Rushville, he was the son of the late Christopher C. and Cecelia (McManus) Coleman, Sr.

He was a graduate of Rush High School. He was a life-long dairy farmer and did custom field work on local farms. He enjoyed the outdoors, playing baseball in his earlier years, hunting and riding his four-wheeler.

He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, involved with the St Patrick's Cemetery Association, and formerly served on the local board of the former Agway Company.

Survivors include wife, Genevieve (Bomberski); a son, Dennis Coleman of Rushville; a daughter and son-in-law, MaryAnn and Robert Haefner of Apalachin, N.Y.; grandsons, Joey and Mikey Haefner; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Hugh and Eleanor Coleman of Elizabethtown; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, a son, Bill Coleman; and grandchildren, Elizabeth and Christopher Haefner, predeceased him.

A Funeral Mass was held Monday, October 15, 2012, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Friendsville.

Visitation was held on Sunday at Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Montrose.
