Brief overview:

Christopher (69), and his wife Jennifer (62), originally from the UK, were bludgeoned to death in their house in Wood Grange, KZN. The perpetrator, believed to be a 33-year-old man who works on one of the farms, put their bodies in the back of the couple's vehicle - a Volvo Sedan - which was found crashed in a ditch at Stick Farm. Police Colonel Jay Naicker said officers had spoken to their neighbours, who said the couple had kept to themselves. "The neighbours could not assist us with information." He said the couple's house, in Woodgrange in Hibberdene, was barely visible to neighbours because of dense vegetation between the plots. Naicker said a passerby had seen the couple's car standing in a ditch on Thursday and alerted the police.
"When police arrived at the scene, they found several items in the vehicle and discovered the bodies in the back of the car. Naicker added that the killers then drove the car towards Stick Farm, where they crashed the vehicle and ran away. The organised crime unit of Port Shepstone is investigating the case," he said. Naicker said the house was "severely" ransacked. The police managed to track down their daughter, who is married and lives in America, in order to identify her parents' bodies
