Chris Iblings, 70, 1713 Irene street, father of Ray Iblings, a Sioux City policeman, died Wednesday night in a Sioux City hospital following a long sickness.
A resident here since 1921, Mr. Iblings was born in Freeport, Ill., January 20, 1856. He lived there until he was 21 years old when he moved to Parkersburg, Ia., and later to Latimer, Ia., where he was married on June 17, 1903, to Mary Etta Roberts.
The couple moved to Akron, Ia., in 1908 an lived there until 1921, when they moved to Sioux City.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Iblings; the son, Ray, a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Haines, and four grandchildren. All the survivors are of Sioux City.
