Christopher Mathebula (1971 – 2018)

Brief overview:

Christopher (47), the principal of Northview High School in Highlands North, was shot dead when he was hit by a stray bullet during a CIT heist, on the R21 near Olifantsfontein, on Friday 1st June 2018. He was driving home at the time, and happened to be behind the CIT vehicle. Robbers approached the CIT vehicle and started shooting randomly at vehicles in close proximity of the cash van.

Mathebula leaves behind four children, his wife, his two younger brothers and his mother.
