RAVAL, CIRIACO B.
Assistant Director of the Bureau of Non-Christian Tribes. Born in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, on August 8, 1893, his parents are Leon Raval and Bibiana Beltran. He obtained his Ph.B. from the University of Chicago, Ill., U.S.A., in 1923.
Mr. Raval has been teacher; clerk, Bureau of Education; Chief Clerk, Department of Mindanao and Sulu; member of the group of Filipinos representing the Philippine Government, 1915, San Francisco Exposition; Philippine Government student at Stanford University and University of Chicago, 1920-1923; Special Agent, Bureau of Non-Christian Tribes, 1931. The Assistant Director of the Bureau of Non-Christian Tribes, he belongs to the Northern Luzon Association. He is a man who believes in patience as the lever of accomplishment.

RAVAL, Ciriaco - Provincial Governor of Lanao; res., Dansalan, Lanao.
Born in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, on August 8, 1893; son of Leon Raval and Bibiana Beltran; attended the public schools in the Philippines before he left for the United States where he obtained his Ph. B. degree from the University of Chicago in 1923. He was a teacher, then a clerk, Bureau of Education; chief clerk, Department of Mindanao and Sulu; member of the exposition committee which represented the Philippine Government at the San Francisco Expedition of 1915; government student at Stanford University and University of Chicago, 1920-1923; special agent, and then asst. director, Bureau of Non-Christian Tribes, 1931-36; and is now Acting Provincial Governor of Lanao since 1938. He is married to the former Miss Angela Lamug by whom he has nine children.
