Clara was born near Greenbush, Minn, baptized at "Leo" or Greenbush, Minn., Moved to east Grand Forks, Minn. in her early years for a few years with her family, returned to Greenbush, Minn where she went to school, competed at state in spelling contests, moved to Drayton, ND area with her family, worked as a soda jerk & telephone operator back in Greenbush, Minnn., , Married Walter Schiller, lived near Forest River, was widowed, continued to farm for a couple years, worked as county assessor, "was complimented as the neatest assessor they ever had", married Ludwig Kulas at St. Stanislaus Cath. Church, Warsaw, ND, lived on the family farm until Ludwig died in 1976, had a house built and moved into Warsaw until early 1990's when she moved due to medical reasons to Beula, ND to live with her son, Dr. Roger Kulas, than to Escanoba, Mich in 1997, where she lived at Bishop Noah Home until her death Oct 30 2002. Her funeral was at St. Stanislaus Cath. Church, Warsaw, ND and she is burried alongside her 1st husband at Sacred Heart Cath, Cemetery, Minto, ND. She had one daughter, Dorothy, in her 1st marriage and three sons, James, Dennis & Roger in her 2nd marriage.And became stepmother to 5 children from Ludwig's 1st marriage: Eryka, Englebert "Bert", Ernest, Ludwik "Louie", and Alfred "Freddy".
