OBITUARY:
Clara E. Wiseman, 94, Leavenworth, died Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at Harrison Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corydon. A native of Harrison County, born February 21, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Charles S. & Dora Cline Peper. She was a retired practical nurse, a former cook for Crawford County Head Start & the Leavenworth Senior Citizens, where she served as secretary, a former president for Crawford County Conservation Club, a former Crawford County 4-H Leader, a Hoosier Uplands Area 15 Hoosier of the Year & a member of Crawford County Consolidated Methodish Church near Leavenworth.
She was preceded in death by a son, Alvin Conrad, & 2 daughters, Dorothy Conrad & Wilma Taylor.
Survivors include 2 sons, Donald Conrad of Salem, Johnny Conrad of New Albany; 3 daughters, Velda Brown of Pasadena CA, Betty Emmert of Highlands TX & Judith Cartwright of Elizabethtown KY; a brother Henry Peper of New Albany; a sister, Helen Snider of Crandall; 30 grandchildren & several great grandchildren & great-great grandchildren.
