Clarence William Hageman

Plainville -- Clarence W. Hageman, 78, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, at his home.

He was born Aug. 3, 1924, to George and Catherine (Stahl) Hageman.

He married Helen Geibler on May 14, 1952, in Catherine.

He graduated from Plainville High School in 1942. He was a farmer and rancher and worked as a bridge foreman for Rooks County for 20 years, retiring in 1993.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; seven sons, Don, McCook, Neb., Tim, Hays, Terry, Mike, Pat, Jerry and Steve, all of Plainville; two daughters, Kathy Gish, Houston, and Jolene Staab, Kersey, Colo.; a brother, Roy, Cambridge, Neb.; 27 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainville; burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel. A parish vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Memorials are suggested to House Calls of Hays Medical Center Home Health and Hospice or Sacred Heart School.
