Dewayne/Duane Russell Rash, b. May 1919 in Oregon
Enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1937 at Vancouver Barracks, Washington, and retired with the rank of Major in January of 1958. His military career included service during WWII as a supply officer in New Guinea with the 20th Infantry Regiment of the 6th Division.
After retiring in 1958, Clarence joined his cousin, Warren Pierce, in the tax consulting firm they called Pierce, Rash and Associates, and retired once again in 1985.
He was a member of the Little Church on the Prairie in Lakewood. where he served as an elder, and also a member of the various Masonic orders, including Lakewood Lodge #304 F.& A.M. and Afifi Temple.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of 61 years.
Preceded in death by grandson Nathan Neal.
Clarence's father Russel's obituary says, "married Mable and had 3 children in OR. Had 2 son's 1.Dewayne,2.nickname Micky and daughter Ethel."
This leads me to wonder/speculate if Clarence's nickname was Micky.
The names Dewayne/Duane and Ethel match the known siblings listed above, but their mother's name Mable disagrees with the name Ethel Sisson given above.
