Clarence Oscar Sandusky Jr.
74, Meadow Gold retiree
Funeral for Clarence Oscar Sandusky Jr., 74, of Decatur will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Barnes officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 11 at the funeral home.
Mr. Sandusky died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at his home. He was born July 17, 1926, in Alabama to Clarence Oscar Sandusky Sr. and Arrie Naomi Betterton Sandusky.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was retired from Meadow Gold Dairies. He was a member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Edith L. Sandusky; one son, Robert D. Sandusky of Birmingham; one stepson, John W. Long of Nashville; one daughter, Betty Metcalf of Decatur; one brother, W.H. Sandusky of Decatur; two sisters, Katherine Ford and Dorothy Burleson, both of Decatur; five grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Anders, Charles Ford, Jim Burleson, Al Metcalf, Jack Betterton and Jimmy Wallace.
