About Clarence Leroy Wilson
Clarence Leroy “Roy” Wilson was born December 15, 1877, in Payson, Utah County, Utah to David Wilson and Priscilla Loveless. Roy was baptized a member of the LDS Church on July 5, 1888.
Roy married Nellie Louise Carson on February 12, 1915, in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were the parents of five children- Boyd Carson, Erma Ann, LeRoy, Cornell, and Thelma.
Nellie died April 13, 1936, and Roy later married Geneve Page Finch on September 6, 1940, in Manti, Sanpete County, Utah.
Roy was a farmer and held the office of Elder in the LDS Church.
Roy died at the age of 81 on Sunday afternoon, August 2, 1959, in the Payson City Hospital after suffering a stroke a week prior. Funeral services were conducted on the following Wednesday in the Payson Fourth LDS Ward Chapel, under the direction of Bishop Paul Hurst. Burial was in the Payson City Cemetery. C. LeRoy was a son of David Wilson and Priscilla Loveless. He married Nellie Louise Carson in 1915.
