

Clarissa or Clara was the Wife of Andrew Rice....His Third and final, she had 5 children, one of whom died within 90 days. She was a highly refined woman and demanded that her daughters become teachers of youth, Two sons were successful in the Legal fields and Farming. They were: Maud, John Webster, Millie, and Samuel with and infant son who did not live long. Maud married Ernest Stevens a WPA artist, Millie married into the Goodwin family of Nebraska, John Webster Rice became a Lawyer in Nebraska and a Judge in Riverside Ca. Samuel took over the family Homestead and raised registered livestock of various kinds, and was renouned for the health of his livestock.
