Funeral services for Mrs. Cletus S. Chavis were held Tuesday at the Pembroke Church of God, conducted by the Rev. Millard Maynor and the Rev. James Leggett. Burial was in the Deep Branch Church cemetery.

Pallbearers were William C. Locklear, Lacey Brewer, Robert Maynor, Henry O. Burleson, Lester Hunt, and Arlee Oxendine.
