Also surviving are three sons, Jonathan C., Derby, KS, Scott A. (Robin), New Lenox, IL, and Todd M., Auburn; two brothers, Ronald E. (Judy), Auburn, and Paul K., Fort Wayne, IN; a sister, Dolores "Kay" (James) Cox, Fairborn; a granddaughter, two stepgrandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Bette Trisel and Patricia Zizelman, and a grandson.
He was employed at International Harvester in Fort Wayne for 22 years and then as head custodian at DeKalb High School for 12 years before retiring in 1996. He attended Waterloo United Methodist Church, served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Waterloo.
Services are at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, Waterloo, the Revs. Charles and David Mathews officiating.
