Cloa Branson was born in Harlan County, KY. She first married Ezekiel Hall March 7, 1833. To this union were born the following children: Henry B., Sally, Elizabeth, Synthia, Chloe/Cloa, Joseph and Nancy.

After his death in 1854, she married Russell Begley on June 10, 1856.

At his death, she married Felix Combs on Oct. 16, 1858, and they had one child together, Surrilda.
