Col. Nathaniel PEARSE was born on 23 November 1708 in Bristol, Bristol Co., Massachusetts (now Rhode Island). He died on 17 March 1793 at the age of 84 in Bristol, RI. He was buried in Juniper Hill Cemetery, Bristol, RI. He represented Bristol in the Rhode Island Colony Assembly in 1765-66 and 1767. He was also supposed to have served as a marine on the sloop Providence. "First Families Of America", Vol. 2, pg. 43, says that that he was a soldier in the Revolutionary War.
