Colin Leslie Brits (1956 - 2020)
Brief overview:
Colin (64), a bachelor who lived alone, and farmed on Craigmillar in the Elandskraal area, KZN, was shot dead between 2pm and 3pm on 16th March 2020. He was found with a gunshot to his head and body, around 16h00.
A gang of male attackers were waiting inside his home, and Collin was then ambushed, and a struggle ensued. Bruises to his hands was evidence that he fought hard for his life.
Colin's farm workers reported that they heard gunshots.
A rifle and a pistol were stolen during the farm invasion.
Local farmers and police officials were at the scene.
A case of murder was opened at Helpmekaar SAPS and Police are appealing to anyone who might have information about the suspects involved to contact their local police or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
Colin's murder comes two days after the murder of farmer Chris Hart (75) from Henderson, Eastern Cape, who was found brutally beaten to death in his home.
