He was Colonel of the Militia and served in the Assembly of Newport, RI.
Buried on the east side of East Main Road, Middletown, RI, between Aquidneck Shopping Center and A&P Store.
Siblings: Jedediah born 16 November 1711, Mary born 22 January 1714, Elizabeth born 4 November 1715, Sarah born in 1716, Lydia born 6 November 1718, John born 9 June 1721, Thankful born 24 August 1722, Joseph born 20 April 1724, Job born 1733, and Hannah.
