Colonel 6th Alabama Infantry, Co. A. The 6th Ala. Infantry Regt. was organized at Montgomery, Ala./ May 06, 1861, with 12 companies and about 1400 men recruited from Autauga, Henry, Jackson, Lowndes, Macon, Montgomery, Russell, and Wilson counties.
