Commander Henry Fortescue

Commander Henry Fortescue was born on 10 August 1796 the son of Captain Hon. Matthew Fortescue and Henrietta Anne Hoare. He married Caroline Russell, daughter of Sir Henry Russell, 1st Bt. and Anna Barbara Whitworth, on 2 November 1824.

• He gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.
• He lived at The Old Manor, Beckenham, Kent, England.
• He died on 6 December 1875 at age 79.
