1810 Warren Cnty., KY Census. 1815 Allen Cnty., KY tax list. Jarrett Wright lived with his father, Joseph, until he enlisted in theRevolutionary War in 1777. He served for 3 years, 5 months, and 2 weeks.He first served as a drummer boy but attained the rank of corporal. Hefought in the Battles of Monmouth, Stony Point, and Fowlershood. He spentthe winter of 1777-78 in Valley Forge under the command of General GeorgeWashington. I have also found indications that Jarrett Wright may have had brothers;John, Joseph, and James. Jarrett and Elizabeth (Griffin) Wright lived in Lunenburg Cnty., VA, thenHalifax Cnty., VA for 7 years, then Caswell Cnty., NC, and then WarrenCnty., KY. Jarrett was given 200 acres of land in what is now the state of KY forhis services as a Virginian Patriot. His land was located on TrammelCreek in Warren Cnty., KY, which became Allen Cnty., KY in 1815.
