Cpl. Brian Ronaldson

Brian Ronaldson was born at Wellington in New Zealand on 23 February 1894. His parents were Thomas Sheriff Ronaldson (1956-1931) and Fanny Mary Berand Robinson (nee Luckie) (1864-1946) who married in Hawker Street, Wellington on 4 May 1886. Brian joined the Wellington Mounted Rifles during World War I (Service No. WWI 11/365). He was killed in Action at Gallipoli on 27 August 1915. As he has no known grave, he is listed on the Hill 60 (New Zealand) Memorial in Turkey. He was Mentioned in Despatches (MiD) (London Gazette, 28 January 1916, p1210) (Bio by Debbie McCauley, 14 September 2022).
