Cyrus Adams was a senior partner of the law firm of Isham, Lincoln & Beale, 72 W. Adams st. The firm was founded by the late Robert Todd Lincoln, son of President Lincoln, and two associates.
He had been general counsel and a trustee of St. Luke's hospital prior to its merger with Presbyterian hospital. After the merger, Mr. Adams served as an honorary trustee of Presbyterian St. Luke's hospital.
Mr. Adams was a member of the print and drawing committee of the Art Institute and had served as vice president and was a trustee of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. His father was a pioneer grain merchant who came to Chicago from Virginia in 1857 and later became a member of the Chicago Board of Trade.
