The 1900 census for Wayne County, Sugar Creek Township, taken on the 6th day of June shows that Cyrus and Cora had a servant named Leah Zimmerly. She was 25 years old, born in Ohio, Father born in Switzerland, Mother born in Ohio.

Orrville newspaper article. Cyrus Manton Bowers, 82, died this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Mann, near Moreland in Franklin Twp., after a short illness of three weeks. Bowers was a lifelong farmer in this area until his retirement several years ago. He farmed near the Kidron area for a number of years. He is survived by four sons, Joe of Polk, Frank of Wooster, Willie of Massillon, Glenn of Millersburg; four daughters, Grace of near Moreland, Mrs. Ollie Sulenski of Fremont, Mrs. Ruth Johnson of Polk and Mrs. Martha Amstutz of Orrville; 32 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. May Loyd of Akron. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Frey and Gresser Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dalton.
