Rites Today For Mrs. Daisy Haas.
Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy Haas, 78, of Monroe, were to be at 3:30 p.m. today in the chapel of the Mulhearn Funeral Home with Rabbi Harry Danzinger officiating.
Burial was to be in the Jewish cemetery here.
Mrs. has died in St. Joseph's Home Thursday afternoon after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of Morris Haas, R., owner of Sig Haas Clothing Co. She was a native of Scooba, Miss., and had been a resident of Monroe since 1912.
She was a member of the Temple B'Nai Israel. She sponsored and launched the S. S. Monroe Victory in Longbeach, Calif., in 1945, shortly after her son was killed during World War II.
Survivors include one son, Morris A. Haas, Jr., of Monroe; two sisters, Miss Rachel Matzner of Meridian, Miss., and Mrs. D. M. Borum of Big Stone [Gap, Va.; four grandchildren] and two great-grandchildren.
