Daisy Mary Townshend, daughter of James Edwin Townshend and Rebecca Rosa Carson, was born in 1893 in Carnavon, Western Australia. [1]

Daisy married Joseph Hicks in 1913 in Geraldton, Western Australia. [2] Their marriage was reported in the Western Mail (Perth, WA : 1885 - 1954) Fri 15 Aug 1913 Page 35 [3]

HICKS—TOWNSHEND.— On August 1, at St. Xavier's Church, Geraldton, Joseph Hicks (of Lands and Surveys), eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Hicks, of Rushworth, Victoria, to Daisy, only daughter of the late James Townshend, of Wandarri, W.A.
Daisy Mary Hicks (Widow, of Joseph Hicks, of 26 Canning Rd, Kalamunda WA) died in 1964, aged 71 years, at Lesmurdie, Western Australia. [4] [5]
