PHILLIPS - Daisy Dean Cackler Phillips, daughter of Isaac and Sarah Matthews Cackler, was born July 11, 1884 in Marion County, Iowa and died August 2, 1967 at the Memorial Hospital in Chariton, at the age of 83 years and 23 days, after a short illness.
She lived most of her life in and around Lucas county. She made her profession of faith in Christ many years ago. After moving to Chariton, she united with the First Baptist church where she has been an active and faithful member.
She was united in marriage to Anthony W. Phillips on June 17, 1900 in Lucas county and to this union six children were born, two daughters, Emily Glyndine and Zella; four sons, Wayne, Willard L., Ethan A. and Herman.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Anthony, one daughter, Glyndine, two sons, Wayne in infancy and Willard L.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Zella) Wiegand, Ft. Worth, Tex.; two sons, Ethan, Aurora, Ill., and Herman, of Burlington. Eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and many, many friends.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Daniel P. Bean, of Corydon, at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 4, 1967 at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home. Interment was at the Goshen Cemetery.
