Obituary:

DALE CLANTON KIMBROUGH, 70, of Clute, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born August 8, 1941, in Houston, Texas, to Daniel and Nettie Cox Kimbrough.

Dale loved to hunt, work on guns and talk about the Lord. He was a member of the Alvin Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his loving wife, Alice L. Kimbrough; children, James Jacobsen (Melissa) of Angleton, Darien Jacobsen of Maurepas, Louisiana, Cheryl Fairbank (Ken) of The Woodlands, LeeAnn Smith (Richard) of Jones Creek, Sandra Pierce (James) of Midway and Danny Kimbrough; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Vicky Christy (Terry) of West Columbia; brother-in-law, Gene Tumlinson (Neoma) of Lake Jackson; best friend, Oscar; and many other loving relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Aunt Lillie Cox; and mother and father-in-law, Mae and Willie Tumlinson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute with Bro. Rodney Coates officiating. Burial will follow at Restwood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2012, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Craig Peavy, Deryl Tumlinson, Cory Tumlinson, Ronnie Short, Cade Bennett and Mike Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Oaks, Kevin Dickey and Doyle Bennett.
