Dalton E. Menhorn, 78, of Armbrust, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at home. He was born March 13, 1931, in Boyton, Pa., son of the late Elmer Menhorn and the late Emma Engle Menhorn. He served in the Navy Reserve. He was a member of Armbrust Wesleyan Church, Greensburg Country Club and the former New Stanton Kiwanis Club. He was a self-employed insurance broker. He owned Menhorn Associates. Surviving are his wife, Betty J. Overly Menhorn; a son, James S. Menhorn and his wife, Diane, of Latrobe, two grandchildren, Douglas Menhorn and his wife, Rachael, of Greensburg, Tiffany Menhorn, of Meadville; and a brother, George Menhorn and his wife, Susan, of Boise, Idaho. He was preceded in death by son, Ronald D. Menhorn; and infant daughter; and four sisters, Anna Fike, Marian Grey, Maxine Ruffner and Frances Ruffner. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the at the C. RICHARD MCCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC., Youngwood. Additional viewing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Armbrust Wesleyan Church. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Armbrust Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Timothy Stradling officiating. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
