About Danford K. Robbins

The Robbins family lived in Ohio until 1857 when they moved to Linn County, KS.

David Kerr III (brother of Danford's wife, Cornelia) located them there by

virtue of a military land warrant drawn in the name of Ann Morrison, and

transferred it to Danford K. Robbins. (We don't know who Ann Morrison was.)

This information was taken from the old "KERR FAMILY" history written by Samuel

P. Kaler, 1898, as was all of the Kerr family records.)

Danford enlisted in the 6th Kansas Cavalry in 1861 and served 21 months. He took part in the last campaign of the war - Price's threatened invasion of Kansas.
