Daniel DeWitt Cady

Daniel DeWitt Cady of Maryland died at 1 o'clock Thursday morning of last week.

Born in the town of Maryland April 28, 1862, a son of Frederick J. and Polly S. (Peaslee) Cady, he married the former Libbie L. Dayton January 20, 1885. Surviving are three daughters and two sons, Maude Cady of Oneonta, Mrs. Fred Liedkie of Milford, Mrs. Maurice Butler of Richmondville and Elmer D. and Millard L. Cady residing at home. Two grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Davis Barnes and mrs. Lucy Swackhammer of Schenevus, Mrs. Carrie Howe of Utica and Mrs. B.F. VanZandt of Maryland and several nieces and nephews also remain.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the home and burial was made in McKown cemetery.
