  • At the Himeville Magistrate’s Court, three men, Tsepiso Sthembiso Ramanyane (20), Bonginkosi Eric Nyawose (33), both from Bulwer, and Thabo Dlamini (22), from Himeville, appeared for the murder of timber contractor Daniel Knight. They were remanded in custody until 6 November for a formal bail application.
  • Judge Jerome Mnguni, sitting with one assessor, previously acquitted one of the three men charged in connection with the incident, Happy Gcina (24).
  • On Wednesday he began summarising and evaluating the evidence led in the case against the remaining two accused — Ramonyane and Nyawose. Both men pleaded not guilty.
