Daniel Franklin Lais

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, in Zion Mennonite Church east of Hubbard for Frank Lais, who died Nov. 15 at age 80.

Mr. Lais was born Dec. 26, 1920, in Hubbard. He was a row-crop farmer and longtime grower for Norpac Foods, a cooperative in Stayton. He was a lifelong member of the church. In 1943, he married Wanona Conrad; she died in 1983.

Survivors include his sons, Kenneth, Ray, Larry and Edwin; daughters, Sharon Moyer, Shirley Martin, Susan Boshart, Carol Kauffman, Janice Lais and Eileen Springer; sisters, Lilly Berkey, Dorothy Gingerich, Vera Garber, Frances Hoover, Ruth Zehr, Marjorie Birky and Evelyn Birky; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Interment in Zion Mennonite Cemetery. Remembrances to the Mennonite Central Committee in Akron, Pa. Arrangements by Cornwell Colonial Chapel.
