Daniel 'Danny' Menezes (1946 - 2014)

Brief overview:

Danny (68), assistant manager at Manny's Supermarket in Kroonstad, was brutally assaulted during a hijacking mid-February 2014. He was found outside Hennenman fire station. Nearly every bone in his face was broke. He was taken to hospital, where he underwent plastic surgery to repair the bone fractures to his face, and put into an induced coma. Danny contracted a lung infection, which spread to kidneys, and died of organ failure on 28th March 2014.
