About Daniel Patrick, II
Biography
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Patrick-3228
Daniel was a son of Daniel Patrick and Anneken Van Beyeren. He is estimated to have been born in Massachusetts in about 1638 or in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, in about 1641.[1]
He resided at Flushing, Long Island (initially in New Netherland and later in New York). He probably was married before 1675, as he was listed as a head of household in the Flushing tax rolls for 1675 and 1683. The name of his first wife is not known. She apparently died before 1693, when he married Dorcas Erwine or Irwin. Their intentions to marry were recorded on 6 April 1693. This marriage apparently ended in her death before 25 April 1696, when Daniel Patrick married Dinah Yates (or Yeats), daughter of Francis Yates.[1]
In December of 1672, the year that Quaker founder George Fox came from England to the Quaker meetings on Long Island, Daniel Patrick was among the signers of the Flushing Remonstrance that ended religious persecution in the Dutch colony. The names Daniel Patrick, Daniel Kirkpatrick, and Daniel Kirk Patrick appear on records of the Flushing Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Quaker Meetings between 1679 and 1702.[2]
Daniel Kirk Patrick was last recorded in Flushing on 31 May 1704. He was recorded in Westchester, New York, in February 1705 when he served as a juror in a court case involving Daniel Clark. He is mentioned in records of the Westchester Friends Meeting between 1707 and 1711.[3]
He died before 17 October 1722, when Dinah Kirk Patrick, widow and relict of Daniel, late of Westchester, deceased, signed a court document.[4]
