I have been interested in my ancestry since I was in high school, mainly due to my uncle’s research into our family since its arrival at Braintree, MA August 10, 1635. In 1933 my uncle, Stanley E. Perin, published a paper for family members that provided a narrative of early activities of the early ancestors since coming to America. In 1974 he published [The John Perrin Family of Rehoboth, Massachusetts],-- https://archive.org/details/johnperrinfamily00peri -- a listing of all ancestors and descendants known at that time. This book can also be found online in several places. It is only in the last several years since retirement that I have actively sought to work on my own ancestry files. My main store of records is maintained on Millennia’s Legacy 9 software. I also use Geni, WikiTree, MyHeritage and other programs as sources for connections. I have been in contact with several specific branches of the Perin Tree and traced them back to a common ancestor. Currently, I have traced my direct lineage back to John Peryn, born 1380.
