10. DANIEL STURM (3) JACOB (2) JACOB (1) Daniel Sturm, third son of Jacob and Catherine (Frushour) Sturm, was born on Scotts Mill Run, Monongalia County, Virginia, August 11, 1798.

When he was five years old the family moved to a farm on Teverbaugh Creek, near Worthington, Harrison County, West Virginia., He lived on this farm most of his life and patented several tracts of land on the waters of Teverbaugh Creek.

He married, February 5, 1821, Elizabeth Martin, who was born October 8, 1798 and died May 7, 1869. She was a daughter of Spencer Martin by his first wife, Mary (Snider) Martin. After the death of his father, he bought the old farm and lived there until the death of his wife, when he went to live with his son, Charles W., at Littleton, West Virginia, and lived there until his death, April 17, 1880.

11. ISAAC STURM (3) JACOB (2) JACOB (1) Isaac Sturm, fourth son of Jacob and Catherine (Frushour) Sturm, was born on Scotts Mill Run, in Monongalia County, W. Va., October 6, 1802. Within a year the family moved to Teverbaugh Creek, in what was then Harrison County. He received his education in the schools of that region. The time necessary for obtaining an education was limited, even if the schools had been of the best. The struggle for existence in those pioneer days was w intense and the terms of the schools were-only two to three months each year. He, therefore, received a rather meager common school education.
